In the sunny countryside of Salento, among ancient dry-stone walls, pines, citrus fruits and olive trees, there is a characteristic residence, where you can discover the slow rhythms of the beautiful Salento peninsula. Passing the gate and driving down the entrance way you will breathe the scent of the majestic pines, a characteristic of the ancient entrances to noble residences. The rural connotation is highlighted by the beauty of the external walls of the houses, completely covered in stone, an extension in symbiosis of the surrounding environment (similar to the Trulli of Salento, the so-called "pajare"). The living area develops around the two sides of the central courtyard, perfectly equipped for lunch, dinner or outdoor living (covered gazebo with 4 tables, chairs, sink, stone barbecue, shower cabin, cabin with washing machine). The first building houses the "Antea" apartment which is composed of a living room (television, sofa and various furniture), 2 double bedrooms (in one it is possible to add a single bed or cot), kitchen with table and chairs, bathroom with shower box and services. There are therefore 5 comfortable beds. The estate has in total 4 apartments and two studio-rooms, but each solution allows a relaxing and independent stay. The house is air-conditioned to protect itself from the summer and can also be used for heating for the winter months. The residence is embellished by a beautiful pool area between the olive grove and the rural buildings. The oval in shaped pool has a uniform depth of 1.5 meters. The solarium and relaxation areas are paved and surround the pool. The olive grove behind the lawn surrounding all the pool area is ideal to position the deck chairs right between the trees, to enjoy the shade, in the quiet of the sunny Apulian days. The apartment is suitable for a family or group of friends, who want to enjoy their privacy by sharing the beautiful common areas, embraced by the surrounding countryside, in a simple and informal context, but truly characteristic of the heel of Italy. At about 50 meters from the lodgings, in a very old villa, the discreet managers of the property live, who take care of the maintenance of the garden, to guarantee an excellent quality of the water in the pool and can be useful for requests or information. Generally, the pool is closed in the first ten days of November. The property is just on the outskirts of Corigliano D'Otranto, a historic town in the Salento area that boasts an impressive castle open to the public, a beautiful villa with a playground, a particular historic center and a very high level of culinary art, both in the center, that in the various farmhouses in the area (delicious typical dishes, which we will talk about later at the time of booking).
